Valentine Day Activities

I am not a hater of Valentine's Day... but it's not my most favorite holiday ever, either. It is actually probably my least favorite holiday (that is celebrated). This year, however, it was pretty ok. On Friday night I went to my friend's house in Provo. We watched Mrs. Doubtfire, ate dinner, played the Wii, and waited for another girl to come over. When she got there, we watched Princess Diaries, then went to bed.

Saturday morning we slept in and had nothing to do. My friend made us breakfast, and we stayed in our jammies while we watched another movie, then at 4:30 I got dressed and left to go pick up my nephew.

I met my brother and got my nephew and then met up with my friend again for dinner. It was fun(ny) trying to keep him under control and to not bother the other patrons of the restaurant. I got a head-butt to my eye (it's still tender), slapped in the face, kicked, and pinched on my chin (I have a mark on my face from that too). Over all, I think it went pretty well :D (See how he's shrugging his shoulders as if saying "I don't know what you're talking about..." Ha ha).

After dinner, my friend went to work and I brought my nephew home. He had fun playing with my roommates, and dancing to music from the cell phones (there was 4 to choose from. Luckily I had my old phone that he could play with and we didn't have to worry about if he called anyone or not).

It's always fun for me to get to rock him to sleep. He's getting heavier, so my arms hurt more, but he's such an angel. He is really good and giving 'five', 'stones', hugs and kisses. We fell asleep and he slept all night. Sunday afternoon his dad came and picked him up from me so that I could make it to church on time. After church I got to hang out with another friend and her family. We ate dinner (super yummy sweet and sour meatballs - homemade!), and watched Hidalgo.

Yesterday, being a holiday, I got to hang out with a friend that I haven't seen in a long time. We went to lunch, saw the movie Coraline, played Mario Party 8 on the Wii (her 6 year old son rocks at that game), ate dinner, then played a couple different dice games. It was a lot of fun. I'm sad my weekend had to end. But it was a pretty good weekend.

He's such a punk. I'm sorry you had to be head butted and slapped and pinched. We are trying to teach him not to do that. He's just so stubborn. We've started time out though...he's not a fan. ha

It's ok. He got a time out when he threw a cup of cherrios on the floor at my apartment. He sat in the chair I put him in and seemed to understand very well that he was in trouble. He didn't get up again until I told him he could. So, you're doing good.
