Washington - Week 2

I have never seen so many squirrels running around in a town than I have this week... I saw them in every park we've been to and even one attending church yesterday. When I was here in August, I didn't see any squirrel at all, and this time - they are everywhere :)

I had some leftover pieces from the cards I made when I got here, so I designed my own card.
With Laura's creative additions, here is the final product. I really like it.

I have started a cross stitch... Stay posted for more photos (or another photo when I'm done with it... haha)

Mount Rainier. No clouds covering it the day I took this photo.

Laura and I made friendship/4th of July bracelets.
My camera started freaking out, so sorry for not very good pictures, I'll try and get some better ones up soon.
We took two different designs and combined them to make this one.

I have finished reading the Chronicles of Narnia series! Excellent books!

Last week, we went to see Green Lantern. We went on opening day, and the theater was not packed at all. A very enjoyable movie; definitely one I would see again!
(I just realized I had said something about this last week... so sorry for the repeat)

Saturday, we took the kids to see Cars 2. Very fast paced, but very fun too. I enjoyed this movie very much more than Toy Story 3!

I also mentioned last week that I have been watching the Star Trek movies. We have one more to go - the newest one (which I have already seen, but maybe after seeing the others, parts of it may make more sense), and I'll have seen them all.

I should have some great photos after this weekend from the 4th of July parties and such. It is fun being here and not really having to worry about life... just going with the flow.
I also really love the ward here. There were two people who recognized me from when I was here in August - a brother in the ward, and the RS President. The brother (I can't remember his name) even remembered my name!! There are many great people here, and I love knowing that the Gospel is true no matter where you go - even if the faces are different.

Washington - Week 1

Well, here it is... the first post from Washington. This last week has been crazy busy, but it has been fun. Enjoy the pictures!
Here is the view from my window on the plane...

Lots of cloud cover this trip

Mount Rainier
I noticed some frost on my window... luckily it melted as we got to lower altitude.

My cousins get their own driving lane...

Pretty orange flowers at the park

Rhododendron flowers in front of Laura's house

Rain? In Seattle? Unheard of!! Hahaha

Gettin' my craft on.

This is the back of the box

Front of the box, with intended purpose

Aside from being crafty, I have been learning the "importance" of Star Trek (James, Laura's husband is a Trekkie) and watching the Star Trek movies. We have been to see the Green Lantern - and I loved it!
We have many fun adventures planned, so there will be lots more pictures to come! Check back in a week!! Thanks for reading :)

Frustration

Ok, so I have tried to leave comments on some of your blogs... and for whatever reason, I can't. It says I'm not signed in, so I sign in, but then it still tries to post as 'anonymous', and won't post! I'm getting upset.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions to get it working right again?

Some Pictures

This has been my 'home' since June 1st.

Sorry for the fuzziness... phone camera
Here's my bedroom
Bathroom... no water tho. So I get to use the bathroom inside the house (the camper is parked out front. LOL)

The 'rest' of the house. I should have taken a picture before I brought everything in, but I didn't think about it. Ha. I have cleaned it up, so it doesn't look this bad anymore.
On Monday, I leave for Washington state. I will be back in Utah mid-July.
I will (try really hard to) post about my adventures in WA.
Feel free to call, text, or email me :) I'd love to hear from you!

It's Official

Well, it is official. I no longer have an address to call "mine". As of 11:30ish this morning, I am now "homeless". I do have a place to sleep, but it can't be forever. I do really want to post about the whole process, but it's much too late right now and I have to add drive time now to be to church on time in the morning.
So, until later, I bid thee a fond good night.
