I posted a new link today 'Massages by Becky'. The website it takes you to is for the office she works in, Mount Mahogany Chiropractic (the $5 off offer on the website does not apply to your first visit, but may be applied to a later visit).
There is also a group on Facebook for Mount Mahogany (search for Mount Mahogany Chiropractic). They offer different services and are good to work with. The direct number to the office (if you want to call) is 801-796-7961 *make sure you ask to see Becky - since she's the one I'm promoting...
I have been at the office and have had massages by Becky before and have not had a bad experience ever! She has gift certificates available. She is a fantastic massage therapist and would love to have your business.

HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT?
HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT?
1. Without anyone watching you (they will think you are GOOFY......) And while sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so.
*I got this as an email and thought it would be funny to post here. It says that it's not possible to do this, but I can do it. Maybe that means I have a malfunctioning brain?? Hmmm...
You have to try this please, it takes 2 seconds. I could not believe this!!! It is from an orthopedic surgeon..... This will boggle your mind and you will keep you trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't. It's preprogrammed in your brain!
1. Without anyone watching you (they will think you are GOOFY......) And while sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction.
I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so.

Adventurer's Websites
Hey all!
I added a new section over to the right side of my page called 'Adventurer's Websites' and... you guessed it... they are links that will take you to fabulous websites!
The two photography ones are for my sister-in-law, Jess. Check out the pictures! They are awesome!! And she's a fantastic photographer!
Scotty's Detailing is for my cousin, Scott. I looked at his site tonight and it is awesome too! Anyone looking to get their vehicle(s) (or, boat, rv, tractor truck, whatever) cleaned, inside and/or out, go to the site.
I am a fan of word-of-mouth... if any readers want me to put your 'business' links on my blog, let me know and I'll not only add them, but I'll put in a blog post for you too! :) If what you do is already listed (such as photography or car detailing), don't stress! I would be happy to add it on anyway... I like options ;)
So, check out the websites I've added if you are in the market for any kind of photos or car detailing and if they offer what you are looking for, then by all means, give them your business.
*Disclaimer: I advertise of my own free will and choice. I get nothing for posting these websites except the satisfaction of knowing that I am trying to help other people who are looking for business (and that's why I don't mind 'dupli-tising' - or advertising for more than one of the same job {as listed above}. Options baby, options).

Part 2...
Mr. Stephenson (principal) didn't like the '50's everywhere, so he tore off the one side to make it '30'... pretty ingenious. The same person who decorated everything came back and added a '1' in front - therefore making his age '130'. Good times!Oh! Some third graders also made him a snowman for his birthday... it's very hard to see right here, but they added sticks for arms and a face. Very cute. Not very nice older kids went over and knocked the head off, then by the time afternoon recess came it was nothing more than a pile of snow. Sad.
Happy 80th Post!
Watch out for people who like to play practical jokes on others!!!
Walk into the school today and you'll see scenes like these:

Today is our principal's birthday (and no, he's not 50) and some of his friends have decided to play a joke on him as pay back for a joke he played on them earlier.
Thanks to our awesome lunch ladies, we have enough cake that EVERY person in the school will get a piece today, in honor of the principal's birthday!!
This makes the day a little better - if I can only forget the snow.... Bleh.

Is It Friday Yet?
I don't know what the deal is today... but I am SSSOOOO ready for Friday!! Kids are acting like deranged maniacs! Ok, not really that bad, but they are definitely more energetic (and therefore mean and harassing to each other) and seem to 'forget the rules'.
This awesome bi-polar weather is not helping at all either. Is today just Tuesday? Man. I tell you what... Even though most of the snow is gone from the ground now and the sun is out, there is a very chilly wind that is merciless.
I need Spring Break!

New Einstein Quote
No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right; a single experiment can prove me wrong.
How true is that? It's not always so easy to prove something is right, but more easy to prove something is wrong... or in the case of everyday living: it's always easier to find the negative in things than it is the positive. Interesting how that works...
Puhleeze
I am wearing a Hawaiian style shirt today in hopes that the weather will get better and stay better.
The biggest kicker about working outside: wind. I'm fine standing in the snow and rain, but when the wind blows... the cold goes right thru everything you're wearing - making Miss O grumpy. And Miss O does not like to be grumpy.
*SIGH

Getting Bigger
I thought I would post an updated picture of Jarren and Chloe... sorry if the quality is not fantastic, I took them with my phone.
Here is Chloe. She is almost 5 months old now. I think she's going to have brown eyes... Her dad has brown eyes - everyone else has blue.
Jarren is coming up on his 2nd birthday in July. He is getting so big and has such a fun personality. I guess that's what happens when he's around his dad and uncle so much huh? ;)
Jarren loves his cousin Chloe! He's always giving her kisses. So cute!!
Here's a different picture of Rob... he thought the other picture of him was deceiving. He does not want people to think that in his former life he was a puffer fish. heehee. Love you, brother!
Happy Birthday Rob! (sorry it's late)
On Saturday (before my date), we had a family birthday party for my brother Robert. I am just realizing now that I didn't get a picture of him... I'll have to find one to post here. *Found one!

Brother, I want you to know how much I love you and admire you. I'm proud of you for what you have been doing with your life, and how you handle yourself. You have a talent for making people laugh and that's awesome! I know we've had our issues in the past, but I'm glad we can work past them and continue strengthening our relationship :) You help me want to be a better person - so thank you!
Love you, Robert!!

First Date
To any of you who are my friend on Facebook... this is not new.
Saturday night I went on my first date in over 3 years. My friend, Christy, set me up with a boy in her ward, Jon. It was fun! Christy picked me up, we picked up her date, Dan, then we met my date (Jon) at the Olive Garden in Provo. We stood around for almost 45 minutes waiting to be seated... we got a lot of talking and laughing done :) After we ate we went to watch Valkyrie, but it was sold out so we went to Jon's dad's house and Jon and I watched t.v., while Christy and Dan played Battleship.
Jon and I have commonalities: we both graduated the same year (me from American Fork and him from Mountain View), our birthdays are a week apart (so we are both Aries), and we both hail from families of 8 children (I'm the oldest and he's second oldest).
I rather enjoyed myself and if he called and asked me out, I would say yes :) We shall see. I will keep updates going...

Mother vs. Wife
So I was thinking the other day about maybe why I wasn't married yet... and the thought came to me that maybe it's because I don't know yet what I'll need to know to be a good wife. I know that I will be a good mom (and not just because everyone tells me so); I have 7 younger siblings, siblings with kids, many cousins, cousins with kids, friends with kids, AND I work with kids every day. I feel like I know my way around kids :)
On the flip side - I don't know if I know how to be a good wife. In my mind, I am not very 'homemaker-ish'. I can't make food from scratch, I don't know how to sew, and even though I do know how to compromise, I sometimes feel I am too selfish. I also do realize that being a wife is not all about cooking and cleaning and sewing and bending to my husband's every wish; a wife is a companion, a confidant, best friend, loyal, partner, and one half of the problems or answers :)
As I'm typing this, I am changing my mind. I can learn to cook and sew, I already know how to respect, compromise, be loyal, and love. I don't think I have anything to worry about, right? As long as I have God on my side I can do anything!
*Side note: There is a boy in 6th grade who I just found out (verbally) has a crush on me! He has always been sweet to me when he sees me, and has given me flowers before (a rose on Valentine's Day, and other flowers over the last two years...), but it's never been verbally said that he has a crush on me. One of the teachers today told me he did, stating: "He never goes so out of his way to talk to any other teacher but you..." Totally made my day! My comment about it all: "If only he were 20 years older..." (that would put him at 33).

Pinky McFluff
Pinky McFluff
I just gave this guy his name. I won him last week in our faculty meeting...
Faculty members who exercise fill out a slip and put it in a box for a drawing.
My name was drawn! I don't generally win things, but when I do it's fun stuff.
Pinky sits on my desk, right by my computer. He makes me happy.

Sneak Attack Snow Storm?
Ok Mother Nature, what is the deal? I know we need the snow and all.... but to get all sunshiny and warm, then drop more snow on us? Wow. However! Last night was very pretty, and you thought I wouldn't notice. Ha! Here are a couple pictures I took:
Big, fluffy flakes falling silently to the ground... until they hit the ground, then they made a sound very similar to rain falling. That means only one thing: Wet snow that will stick on the ground, freeze, and become ice. Right on. Haha
When I was walking (yep!) to work this morning, this was the scene of our mountains; covered in 'powdered sugar' snow and the clouds trying to cover it up. Currently, the sun is shining, there is a slight breeze, and a moment ago there were more big fluffy flakes.

*As a side note: Jaret and Diane Gustafson's funeral is today. LuAnne's funeral is Saturday. Prayers going to the Gustafson Family...

In Honor
I don't know how many, if any, of you have heard about the three people from Utah who were involved in an accident in Wyoming last weekend. I don't know any of them, but my sister is roommates with the older girl whom the family was traveling to see. Such heartbreaking news. When I heard of the passing of her family members, I felt like I should make a post about it (and I don't know why, but there you go).

This is the Gustafson family. My sister's roommate is the one in the purple shirt (Izzy).

Jaret and Diane Gustafson (Parents in-law of LuAnne)
SOUTH PASS, Wyo. – Three members of a Utah family have died from injuries suffered in a crash on South Pass last Thursday. The wife and parents of 49-year-old Eric Gustafson of Sandy, Utah, were killed. Eric Gustafson was driving the 2002 Ford Excursion on Highway 28 when it veered out of control on the icy roads.
His father, 76-year-old Jaret Gustafson, and his 50-year-old wife LuAnne, both died at the scene. His mother, 72-year-old Diane died the following day at Lander Memorial Hospital. Eric Gustafson’s three children survived the crash. They are 10-year-old Elyssa, 13-year-old Christopher and 16-year-old Elaura. Eric Gustafson and his children were treated and released at Lander Memorial Hospital. The family was traveling east toward Lander, according to reports. They were on their way to Powell to watch an older daughter’s basketball game.
Fremont County Coroner Ed McAuslan said Jaret and LuAnne Gustafson both died of trauma. Jaret Gustafson was ejected from the vehicle. Authorities said he was the only one in the vehicle not wearing a seatbelt. Wind was also a factor in the crash, said Wyoming state patrol trooper Brian Bragonier. Bragonier said the SUV went off the north side of the road and rolled multiple times down an embankment before coming to rest.
That was the first article I could find printed about the accident. I pray that the Gustafson's feel the love of our Heavenly Father, and from what I've read in other articles, they are surrounded by people who love them and are there to support them. *Our prayers go out to you!

Lesson #2
I sense a pattern... I am supposed to teach the lesson in Relief Society every second week, so far, I have had my lesson bumped up to the first week (which is Fast Sunday - so I have shorter time) both times I've taught.
I was far less nervous today than I was a month ago, which is good. I wore one of my 'mood necklaces' and told the class that it was a special necklace, connected to my heart and if it turned black, then my heart had stopped beating and I needed some help. *Great ice-breaker, I know :)
I had about 20 minutes to teach today, and the lesson actually went over by about 10 because there was a question I didn't know the answer to and I happened to notice a member of the Bishopric walking by the room. I said to grab him. He came in and answered the question (while he was doing that, I noticed a quote in one of the books that also answered the question). Another question was asked, and he proceeded to answer that one too. It was a good discussion we had.
I was told it was another good lesson. I still don't know how I feel about it, but I do know that since I had prepared and had prayed for God's help, He was the one teaching today. I teach again on April 12. We'll see how that goes :)
