Don't Eat the Colored Snow!

Kids are funny. Yesterday, some boys brought some koolaid out to recess and dumped it on the snow, then laid on the ground and pretended to have been shot... or hurt. After those kids went in, there were some 5th graders (hello!?) who started eating the snow and sucking the punch out of it. I walked to them and asked if they knew how dirty the snow was. Then I asked if they knew who all had laid in that particular snow and made it dirty. Then I asked if they knew what it was that had colored the snow (trying to imply something other than punch). I laughed as a look of horror crossed their faces. I told them that it was punch, but it wasn't a very good idea to be eating that snow anyway. They said ok and played somewhere else.
This patch of snow is on the basketball court somewhere. Lovely colors of red, yellow, and some blue. I'm not sure where this colored snow came from, but it's funny to look at anyway.

Hopefully no one gets sick from eating any bright colored snow this year!

Yeah my kids gross me out when they are always eating the snow from outside... especially when it's stuck to the bottom of their shoes and they are picking it off and eating it. So gross.
