Badge of Glory

Over Fall Break (Oct. 16-18) I went camping. I don't have the proper pictures on this computer that I took of our vehicles (I went with Becky and her family) being all muddy and dirty... I took this one this morning. It gives you an idea :)
Last night I was with my roommate at a gas station getting a drink and a couple construction guys walked in "Dang! THAT is a mud truck! Whoo-eee. That's what I'm talking about!" Then they saw us standing there (being the only two in the store) and said "Two girls driving a truck like that are SE-EXY! And knowing you're driving that makes you even sexier!!" It was really funny. I felt proud!!
Within the first couple of days after I'd come home from camping, someone had written in the dirt on my truck and I was VERY upset about it. I have since found out who it was, but because she is a neighbor kid (who's only in 2nd grade), I will give her a break. The guys last night commented about the writing and said it gave my truck more character.
Here's her handy work... I responded with my own NO! I cannot tell you how many comments, stares, or points I've gotten over the last week and a half :) It makes me smile and laugh to myself; not sure why... but it does. "Dude, look at that truck! It's so dirty. Holy cow! It's a GIRL driving too!!!" It just brings a smile to my face. People keep asking me when I'm going to wash it. I look at them and smile and respond with something about it being on Mother Nature's time. They laugh and say 'ok'.
I actually had a dream the other night that I got pulled over for my truck being so dirty... then it got taken away on a tow-truck. With that 'warning' in mind... my headlights are 'cleaned' off so that my lights shine bright, I just need to remember to wipe off my licence plates now...
