Easter Party (Yup, a Week After the Fact)

Today we had our family Easter party at Grandma's house. I decided to try and make something fun to bring to the party (besides a bag of chips). I fried up some tortilla strips and put cinnamon sugar on them. Everyone liked them and I think Chloe won for eating the most.

As we started last year, we went to the park to have a soccer game and this year we added bubbles. Jess and Avery had a lot of fun letting the wind do all the work... it was awesome.

Chloe and Jarren had a lot of fun chasing the bubbles and then trying to blow their own bubbles.

I had fun trying to get pictures of the bubbles as they came off the wand... this one is really big.

So many pretty colors

Chloe was so cute trying to blow bubbles...

Here's a shot of the soccer action.

Some of the little boys had fun playing on the playground.

Me and the cutest (older) niece and nephew!
I love you Avery and Jordan!!

When we came back from the park, we had our egg hunt... Our beloved Uncle has now been banned from hiding the Easter eggs - he was shoving them in his pockets instead of hiding them in the yard. HAHAHA!

I was surprised when this cake showed up and everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to me. It was fun - we're celebrating as a family next week, my birthday, my cousin's birthday, and my nephew's birthday. It will be fun.

Another activity after the park was helping plant flowers in Grandma's yard. I had gone over Thursday to do some of the yard work (I got attacked by a tree, and my hands got all sorts of muddy; but it's awesome!), so today we just needed to plant some flowers. James and Robert did a great job!

Morning Game Answer

Answer is: B. Good guessing Ann and Kristina!

It's gross, I know. I use my mug every day and was very disgusted to see a spider fall out when I pulled the lid off. He'd been very busy, my straw was stuck to the lid by a web. I freaked out, then used soap and very hot water to clean it out. I had to push the incident out of my mind before I could drink out of the mug again.
Yuck.
Hopefully during this break from work no spiders decide to bunker down in my mug again... I think I left it in a safer place :) I guess I'll find out in a week.

Morning Game Question

First question, worth a pat on the back:

What happens when you get to work and try to fill up your mug with water?

A- You find dirt in the bottom of your mug.
B- A spider drops out of the lid when you pull it off.
C- You splash leftover water all over you.
D- You drop your mug on the floor and it breaks.

Leave a comment with your guess. I will also be posting this on Facebook... feel free to guess there too (but it won't be on Facebook until later today)

Happiness Is...

Finding bird tracks in the newly fallen snow...

Teacher Appreciation

This week at work is teacher appreciation. Every year, the doors around the school get decorated with fun themes and pictures.
I can't remember how the office door was decorated last year, but this week, this is what you see:
It's our principal, myself, the head secretary, and the assistant secretary.
I always wondered how I would look as a cheerleader... LOL

Here's a view of the whole thing. Very creative and very fun :)

Dear Mother Nature:

I don't want to seem unappreciative of what you do for us, but there are some things I need to say to you.

First:
Is there a purpose in having a little of all seasons today? I feel like you are indecisive about if you want sun, rain, snow, sleet, hail... If I may be so bold as to say that I wish you would pick one season and go with it. Since I work outside, then it makes my job hard. With the weather changing every 5 or 10 minutes, the kids can't decide if they are going to be nice or naughty.

Second:
I am ready for the snow to be gone. It's March; Spring-time. Does there NEED to be more snow? I would like to petition with you to get rain... instead of snow.

Third:
Why do we need such cold wind? It really would help a lot if there were no wind - especially on an already cold day. If it's summer time, a wind is awesome; but if you insist to bring us snow, can you leave the wind out?

Fourth:
I wonder if our 'snow season' could be only during our winter break? Perhaps the week before Christmas, the week of Christmas, and the week after Christmas? It can snow 12ft if you'd like, but if we can keep the snow to a limited time, that would be awesome!

I have been asked to let you know of other peoples' concerns as well:
One of my friends is "tired of sitting in the snow and wind watching freezing cold ball games".
Another person agrees with my suggestion of snow around the Christmas season.
The kids here would sure love nice weather.
All the people who plant flowers are stressing because the flowers are going to die - please ditch the cold and snow.
Warm weather would really be awesome... Please. It would help get rid of all the sicknesses going around.

Thanks for listening. I hope I didn't make you mad, but I just wanted you to know how I felt about things.
