Monday Memories Week 3

A day late... but here ya go:
Last week we went to the park to fly a big styrofoam airplane that we got. When we got to the park, we were greeted by this little guy. So cute!

Here's Laura putting the plane together. The "sticker installation" instructions were kinda vague, but Laura did an awesome job getting them on.

All ready to fly. Laura got a video of me flying the plane, making do loop-de-loops... as soon as I have that video, I will post it :)

So that was last Tuesday. On Wednesday, there was a YW activity we went to and I saw and fell in love with this (I am going to own one when I have my own house!!!)

Thursday we went to the zoo. We happened to be there when they brought out some animals for the animal encounters thing they do. They brought out two tortoises from Madagascar.

And then (after moving the tortoises out of the way), brought this Burmese Python out. It took four employees to lift and carry it out so we could see it. Such a pretty snake!

In the kids aqua discovery area, they have touch tanks with lots of things you can touch. This crab thought it was funny to try and pull the starfish off the side of the tank. It was hilarious.

Bed of sea stars. So many different colors of them, and (tho I didn't touch any of them) they were all soft feeling.

This guy is called a Grunt Sculpin. It is the funkiest looking fish I've ever seen. It looked like a clown fish wearing a hermit crab shell! It didn't swim either, it kinda shuffled itself along the bottom of the tank.

The Napoleon Fish is still there!! This is a better picture than the one I took two years ago (the one I posted in my blog was taken by Laura - but this one is mine).

This shark we called "toothy" - He seemed to be smiling and all his teeth were showing. When I took this picture, Laura's reflection showed up as well... so it's a pretty cool 2-in-1 photo :)

Pretty flowers I saw. Have no idea what they are... anyone know??

Gyrfalcon

Reindeer. I couldn't find Santa tho... so maybe next year he'll come out too ;)

Red Wolf

Another flower that was really cool looking but I have no idea what it is.

This peacock was walking around looking kind of suspicious... ya, see the bag of popcorn in the stroller?? Totally was staking out the stroller. He/She went over and started pecking the bag open to get to the popcorn. Silly peacock.

A third unknown flower. Any one know what it is?? They are pretty.

As is tradition when I come to Washington, I make cards and other Stampin' Up projects. Here are the things I made Friday night. They were the projects from last month and I'll be soon making the ones from Saturday so watch for those pictures.

Here are pictures of the cross stitch I've been working on. I take pictures after each color is done.

Oh! Wed night, Thurs night, and Fri afternoon we watched some movies:

Such a good trilogy!! Thanks for reading and check back next week :)
