I came home from somewhere the other day and noticed these icicles but didn't have a chance to get a picture of them. Today, I had that chance. Lucky for me they were still hanging there. I think I will probably knock them down tonight, because they just look evil (like crooked, bent witch fingers) and I'd hate for them to fall down on someone.
It just amazes me how crooked these icicles have grown! I've been here for quite a few years and can't recall them being this crooked before (I could be wrong...)
So after taking pictures of the icicles, I come inside my house and this is what I see:
It was the strangest sight. The only windows I have in my "cave" are on the door and in the bedrooms. The light shining on the pillow was coming from the window in my bedroom on the south side of the house - if you've been in my house, the south window is nowhere in direct line at all with this pillow. I was confused, until I figured that the sun was shining in the south window, and being reflected from the mirror I have on the east wall. I did some checking, and sure enough, that's exactly what it was!
I like this shot of the pillow with the sun light on it and the reflection of it...
I have my "neice" Rachael staying with me this weekend, so watch for fun pictures of our adventures together!
