So, I went to dinner tonight with my very good friend, Jayni. We're standing in line to get our food (we hit the dinner rush, so we got to wait), and I noticed some children who had pulled all of the menus out of one of the menu signs, and dumped them on the floor. I said to Jayni, "I wonder what the people here think of that?" and motioned to her what I was referring to. She turned and said, "What?! Don't they have parents? Where are the parents?" We turned back around and a moment later, I saw one of the kids standing with the guy who was behind us in line.
Oops.
We started laughing hysterically, due to embarrassment.
Doh!
We sat down and started eating, and the guy from behind us walked out... with no children. Upon further investigation, the kids belonged to a couple of ladies who were in front of us (not directly) in line.
Relief.
We enjoyed the rest of our dinner and didn't give another thought to the potentially extremely embarrassing moment we thought we'd had.
