The Results Are In!

For quite a few months, I have been debating about whether or not to cut my hair. It had been different lengths of short for a good 12 years, and then I decided to grow it long again. When my sister came home in April for Spring Break, she and my brother went to get their hair cut. I was indecisive if I wanted to go or not. I flipped a coin, and got a "no" three times. So I waited.

This past Sunday, in the middle of church, I had the thought that I should cut my hair now. I kind of got excited about it, and so today, I went and got it cut. I took this 'before' picture, and no I'm not driving - I'm sitting in my driveway. :)

I went to Great Clips in PG because my siblings had given me a $6.99 coupon. I called ahead to see if the lady who cut my hair before was still working there (her name is Brenda). To my pleasant surprise, she was! I walked into the store and waited for her.

She measured my hair (during the course of our conversation, we'd decided I hadn't been to see her since 2006!!) and told me that I could donate my hair to Locks of Love. She said they needed hair at least 10" long, and if I cut 12" then my haircut would be free. I said, "Good, I'm here to chop it anyway!" So I got a free haircut :)

Good-bye, my hair... LOL

After my hair was cut and gone, Brenda said "Welcome back!" It was funny. The other girls/ladies there all saw me come in and saw the outcome of my visit. They all agreed (and I agree with them) that even though I looked cute with long hair, this hair style is more "me" and looks better. They also said I look totally different. I thanked them and left - telling Brenda I'd be seeing her sooner than 4 years ;)

I took this picture when I got back into my truck... I didn't realize how dark it was until I got home tonight and saw it on the computer.

I took this one with my web cam... it's not as dark as the other one, but I'm sure I'll be posting more pictures soon enough that will give a better shot of my hair and how it looks!

All I have to say: "I'm back!"

Cute!! I would love to chop off all of my hair! There is something that seems so "freeing" about it... plus how NICE to have for summer. Maybe after the wedding...
