A Snippet

There is so much to "catch up" on... it's overwhelming. So, I choose to start with the most recent and if I get back stories, great ;)
Our school play this year was called 'Olivia'. Such a cute play! If you didn't get to see it, I have the DVD, so let's have a movie night!! Sadly, this play was our directors' last play (pictured below)! Her youngest is a 6th grader, so they both will be moving on to bigger and better things next year! I have played the piano for the last 5 plays (Amy has directed 6) - and it has been quite the experience! I've loved nearly every second of it ;)
As always, I dress up for my piano playing. I don't know how many people actually see me in my costume, or even know it's me. Sometimes the kids don't even know it's me! Since the play was based in England, I tried dressing accordingly. Luckily, I have two fabulous neighbors who helped put this costume together!
Another sad note: our wonderful principal has been moved to a new school! This was her last play, also. She was such a good sport and was the "fat lady" during the opera scenes. I will miss her terribly!
I have the best friends in the world. I tried to get pictures with all of them who were involved with the play, but that never happens. Polly and I knew each other from years ago when we were in the same ward. I was in YW, and she was one of the leaders. Now, she helps me on the playground during lunch recess.
Our awesome PTA President is another of my dear friends. She is amazing and always willing to help at recess, or backstage for our plays!
We shall see what happens with school plays in the future. Hopefully the tradition will continue and the kids will still have a chance to try something 'new' and exciting :)
