I was out to lunch recess today and noticed some chalk drawings on the wall by the lunchroom. I walked over to see what it was and started laughing, getting strange looks from the kids playing there. I didn't know I had a secret 'fan club' that left me messages on the walls... "I hate Miss O" was one message. Another 'Miss O' was written along side a drawing of a pig (at least that's what it looks like to me... all these messages were days old and probably rained on), and the third message was a 'Miss O' just written on the wall by itself.
I talked to the custodian and asked him to quit writing on the walls. He laughed and said that someone the other day had taken a grape and written "I hate Miss O" on the sidewalk in front of the school with the juice. I laughed and shook my head. Then I started thinking about who, from the school, would even think about writing that they hated me. There is only one person that I thought of who I KNOW hates me and is not afraid to show it.
I am not accusing this person at all of writing these notes, because I have no proof who wrote it. But I find it interesting that I know someone who completely and totally hates me - which is just fine. I'm not here to be everybody's best friend; I'm here to keep everyone safe outside. Anyway... I'll have to keep my eyes open and see if there are more messages for me out around the playground. HaHaHa!
